I guess it is time to start building the world of Garn..............How big is Garn though?.............I found Behemoth write up on the races, we like a few races I think like Giants, Dragons, and other breeds of monsters, but I think some form of Giants should be in the world and definitely some form of Dragons. It a fantasy world for pete's sake.

I agree, we definitely need a better diversity of fantasy races than just the standard elves and dwarves. An efficient method may be to have a separate board titled 'Races', and to let members contribute an article on a specific race if they so choose.
Any suggestions?

Giants, Dragon, and Trolls come to mind but as more a monster for the realm. As for other races that will take some building and that too will be fun.

We need to create gods for the humans, or atleast for the kingdom of Ugilon.
The kingdom is coming along, just need for you(Azriel) to post the pass you want in it and the flora/fauan description. Though it seems like we are the only ones on the site.
For anyone reading this the Kingdom of Ugilon is an attempt to breath life into the continent of Garn. The towns and city posted can be described in more detail by you if you wish to start a roleplay there. I shall post some of the characters of note for the capital.
If anyone plans on detailing any of the towns by all means be my guest. All four towns are border towns with a noble in charge of each one sent there by the king to secure the borders and to increase trade with the neighbors.
Every town has at least 3 villages assign to it to take care of livestock and grainary(by assign I mean the lord of the town is renting acres out with the king's permission). The villages are not protected well so in times of trouble the make for the town which has limited fortifications. All villages assigned to a town is with in 2-10 miles from it.
The above is just basic information for anyone who wishes to participate in bringing the kingdom of Ugilon to life. Think of it as a wiki p

I've modify the Kingdom of Ugilon a bit and started to detail one of the towns, but it seems nobody will be here to rp with me. sigh.
What about Centaurs and Minotaurs as races on Garn?

Is this site dead now? Has the last nail been hammered in the coffin? Or can we mount a comeback? Are their members left who still wish to rp? If so let us unite and bring life back to this site. Pm me or speak here openly if you need me to start an rp, or if you would like to start one and think no one will join, I dare say I shall.

Im sorry guys, I just dont have it in me to be active enough in this right now with new job on the go and single parenting. It would be great for someone to take the helm and keep it going if they have the passion for it. This happens on occasion, it always does. Used to happen often over at FlatEarth too but not nearly as bad because of a membership of over 50,000 people was gauranteed to have at least a few hanging around. Maybe one day we will. Mostly its a matter of "hits". Until this becomes its own website, then when people google, we dont get much if any hits. That is where you get alot of first time visitors. Resources too are a great draw for visitors. Spell books, etc. You know. Anyways... Ill check in again soon I hope. Cheers.

Alright I have been looking around the sight and there are quite a few good things that I see that make up a fraction of the world, map (I like how most of the places are named already), religions, basic races (which we may have to settle with for now) and so on.
But I think that alone can not make a solid base for this construction project. If I might suggest, that we need to first name regions of the land. By looking closer to each of the pieces of the map I can make out most of the physical geography and such. I also see that a great deal of the cities and what look to me like towns have been named. Now what I think we might need to do is make a hierarchy of kingdoms, provinces, and territories. We have the places of civilization set up now we got to group them together and name them into units or kingdoms and what else have you.
Then perhaps we should look into races and racial diversity. Decide who the main and minor races will be, or goodly and evil races if thats seems right. But either way we have to come up with a solid population count of what races are most numerous in the world, most dominant and so on. The once that is done we can all decide which races will dwell where. (The greatest concentration of dwarves lives in these mountains, the high elves live predominantly here while wood elves or something dot this area...or even orcs dwell with in the outskirts of lowlands, secluded valleys, or in this part of the woodlands near the mountains, or swamp/marsh area. Then humans live where ever the hell they please cause they breed like rabbits.)
Those races are examples of the most dominant races that could live perhaps more into the heartlands of Garn, But then for if we begin to add more miscellaneous races (giants, centaurs, ogres, faeries, ect...) there is plenty of unmarked and seemingly unexplored territory around the land where dominant civilizations don't have a town or village. And I do mean to limit minorities to smaller territories but we might have a fair sized kingdom or something of a minority in the future.
So yeah those are just my basic thoughts if anyone cares, I think it even might be a good place to start for those of us that are truly looking to make a future here. I mean you have to start somewhere right? Yeah it'll take some time to sort it all out and there may be wholes, but as for the moment I'm thinking more of a foundation that we could build upon and get into details in the future. Though actually recruiting to help this thing might work to. Thats a freaking lot of work!
