Well, we had a little rush of activity but its quiet again. What do you guys want from the site that could possibly make it more desirable for you to frequent?

Well, the one thing that might work would be gathering a bunch of people who are all tired of the lack of RPing and would like to at least revive some type of RPing as well.
Ha, tough chance that will happen! /sarcasm
I think the main reason RPing has slowed to a crawl would be that there are people who want instant interaction and then people who want quality in role-playing, and rarely will you ever see the two mixed together so elegantly. What you do see in active RPing sites is the former idea of interaction where there are countless less-experienced role-players running out like chickens with their heads cut off as they go through dozens of trendy RPs (anime, movies, books), and most of them don't really see a problem with sucking.
In conclusion, in order to have a successful RPing site like we'd want, we're going to have to bend over some. Given you don't really have any limitations of how skilled someone has to be to RP, this kind of role-playing you want is largely considered "boring" to the average role-player. So what do I suggest? Put the traditional fantasy RPing on the back-seat and try a new more trendy approach. Something that would appeal to newbs, but still harbors the kind of RPing we want to see. What kind of RPing, you say? Most likely something final fantasy-ish, a world that implements the elements of fantasy and machine technology. Cyberpunk, steampunk, whatever. Just something that is more appealing.
On another issue, in all honesty, while I love traditional fantasy, it's something that has been used and used again until the very material of it has become like that of an ancient scroll; important to our history and advancement, but otherwise useless in our modern society. Furthermore, we need to put a balance in-between the interaction and the quality of role-playing so that neither hinders each other. I mean, if we allow interaction to be the main cause, we'll have the activity we want, yet it'll be almost a false sense of security having so many noobs running around. On the other hand, if we push for higher quality, no one will want to interact with those who intimidate them or go through the creative process of being...well, creative. Lastly, we want to create something that pushes intellectual freedom because simply forcing an RP world with certain limitations will hurt activity, though there needs to be some limitation for just cause.
That's what I've learned from over the years. Hope that helps.

You're welcome, but there's a problem. This new skin or at least the site itself has become REALLY SLOOOWWWWWW. Seriously, this is proboards dude, it shouldn't slow down so much. Even scrolling lags. LAGS MAN! I even have the perfect dimensions met for viewing the site at its best. I feel like I almost have to neglect the site after this lag makes it difficult to go from one point to another.
I hope you can find the problem soon.

Tell me if it is still doing it. I haven't experienced any lag yet and I'm running the most prehistoric computer left on the planet! lol. I'm thinking you hit a server lag, not a site lag.

Still doing it and I'm pretty sure it's the only site doing it. I think it's the old skin you had on here that's doing it because whenever this site loads, I see parts and pieces of the old black skin and that was when this lag thing started. If you still have some of your old skin hanging around, you might wanna delete it.

Hmmmm... unsure how to do that other than delete them from photo bucket because they are over written on this site with the new image links. Have you tried refreshing your cookies yet? You probably have I would think but just asking.

Good news. The new skin is much better with no lag, though the green font could be a little brighter. Either that or a different color. Some of the red is a bit hard to read too.

That must have something to do with your monitor. I have viewed this on at least four computers and its clear as a bell. Sorry my friend. Might be time for an upgrade. lol. I will concur however that there is one shade of red there that does come across a bit dark. I will see if I can tweak it up a notch.
