Greetings to All::
I have a question, dilemma if you will, regarding my role playing. I hope that perhaps you can help me...
I have never used coinage in my on line play. I basically do a complete freestyle form of story telling with no 'tools' from classic role playing at all. Here on this site, Story-Teller has set up all kinds of goodies/tools to guide us and for our use. If there is an option to start a thread, will the 'thread' creator be responsible for any 'cost' accrued by his/her 'homebase' in the thread? For instance, if I started a thread and conducted it from an Inn, would I as the Inn keep be responsible for cost of all goods used in the Inn? If that were in deed the case, wouldn't one or two threads be easier to manage rather than many with many players and mods??
I am not comfortable with the ramifications and never having utilized these tools and such, I feel I would not make an effective player. However, I would be willing to learn but, feel it would move the thread along much too slowly to keep the attention of any other players.
Would a total free form style player be welcome here?
Just some random thoughts...

Great question.
Here is what I figured... the site remains completely free form, as does the money issues. I dont want any hardcore banking and paper work stuff going on. If you started an inn thread... and wanted to run the inn as the owner/proprietor... thats cool. You could actually keep track in the posts of how much money is being made or lost. That would be fine with me. In order for your money to increase or decrease on your mini profile, I can manually edit it or you could just keep track in your journal section. This could actually be a job for a moderator if they wanted it. I could give them the power to enter members profiles and trust them to ONLY adjust gold as it increases or decreases accordingly.
The idea of money on this site was more just for fun than for actually being used with set rules and such. When the concept of making money overides the members creation of stories, then they have lost site of the idea. I hope it never happens and if it should... we will need to re-access then.

I have a thought, it may seem narrow minded but bear with me. Roleplaying is freedom of a mind, a choice to become the role you wish and do great things. I think weighing it down with money expense and tight limits will only lighten the spirit, also limiting it to only a small selection of races, thats why Flatearth was mostly popular because it had no big limits, thats my thought.
