History & Family
At age 13, Azriel was discovered by a ‘Thalíon’ (Light) elf named Hoxra Crystalfalcon. He possessed no memory of who he was, his family, or his past life. Azriel had already possessed his tattoo, fresh on his skin. Hoxra recognized the mark as a magical summoning incantation, and vowed to teach the boy how to harness his hidden potential. Hoxra Crystalfalcon adopted her newfound companion and named him Azriel Dragoş, after the first leader of the Thalíon.
In the beginning of his apprenticeship, Azriel was first taught the Elven language to better his linguistic capabilities, and to aid in his quest to master the art of Summoning. Hoxra Crystalfalcon recruited a sage wizard by the name of Dradigar. Dradigar was firm in his teaching methods, simultaneously patient and compassionate. Azriel gradually grew accustomed to the craft, honing his skills by performing daily exercises and regimens.
Azriel’s apprenticeship ended at age 19, when he called upon the Undead Dragon to save the Thalíon when pressed under siege by the Malgorian (Dark) Elves. It completely destroyed the environment, killing enemy and ally alike. Azriel was banished from the Thalíon tribe, exiled from the Elven nation. Azriel aims to reconcile and beg for forgiveness, hoping one day to return to the Thalíon.

Paranoid of Failure: Due to the catastrophic and tragic end of the battle against the Malgorian, Azriel is scared of failure and frightened that he will be rejected by his friends, ultimately being abandoned and isolated for the rest of his life.
Weapons, Armour, & Equipment
Merlin Dagger: Azriel uses the Merlin Dagger as the first procedure in Summoning. He does not use his dagger in regular battle.
Satchel: Azriel has a leather satchel used for transporting basic necessities. Azriel always has a water canteen, a foodstuff, and basic medicinal items (i.e. bandages and gauze).
Powers
Azriel’s tattoo is a powerful summoning incantation, translated as “The Hidden Power”. Azriel does not know the history behind the administration of his ink, nor of where its origins lie. According to Dradigar, it is made of a magical ink that will never fade in potency. Dradigar warned Azriel that if the incantation is ever interrupted by a cut or scar, the tattoo is deemed 'broken'. It may still work, but the summoning will be much harder to perform.
Azriel uses his summoning by a process called ‘blood allocation’. He creates a small cut on his body (preferably his fingertip, hand, or wrist), dabs his index and middle finger into the blood, and quickly smears the blood across the length of his tattoo. Azriel must ensure he covers all the characters, otherwise the summoning may fail or go awry. The tattoo incantation will glow a bright red when successful. Azriel’s summons must always emerge from its natural environment (e.g. Azriel cannot summon a wolf in the ocean, or an eagle in a cave). Azriel’s Netherworld Summons may be summoned at any location, for they appear through a portal.
Each summon uses a particular fraction of Azriel's magical strength, mental strength and physical power. The ‘Earth-Based Summons’ (listed below) do not use very much energy and can be used almost an infinite number of times. The 'Netherworld Summons' require a massive percentage of Azriel's spiritual energy. Azriel cannot use his Summoning power for the Netherworld Summons for more than 10 minutes. Azriel’s power is still highly underdeveloped. If Azriel tries to push his limits by keeping the Netherworld Summons for a longer period of time, it could render him severely ill for days or even weeks.
Earth-Based Creatures
- Wolves
- Eagles and Hawks
- Bats
- Snakes
- Centipedes (In massive quantities, centipedes can cause a suffocating or asphyxiating effect)
Netherworld Creatures
Serpent: Your clichéd type of snake. It is of slender build and stretches to 50 feet in length, and stands at a height of 19 feet. It possesses excellent speed and agility, though it lacks in brute strength. The Serpent is quite cunning in battle. It has black scales and amber eyes. It is non-poisonous.
Weakness: It is not immune to physical, elemental, or magical attacks. It can be killed with a sword, or decapitated.
Wyvern: A miniature dragon. It is approximately the size of a Clydesdale horse, with strong muscular legs and a length tail. It possesses no arms, and a pair of wings. It is not able to breathe fire. It is non-poisonous.
Weakness: It is not immune against water, frost, or White magic attacks. It is resistant to physical attacks. It is immune to fire, lightning, and earth attacks.
Black Dog: A giant, ominous beast that resembles a black wolf. Its shoulder rests at 10' 0'' and its canines are an average length of 5 inches. The Black Dog is an extremely violent and blood-greedy creature; it desires flesh beyond anything else. Once it commences its rampage, it is unable to stop its blind rage until Azriel issues a command to stop. It cannot howl to summon other dogs or wolves.
Weaknesses: It is not immune against physical, fire and White magic attacks. It is resistant to elemental attacks not already listed. It is immune to Dark magic.
Undead Dragon: The most powerful Summon, the Undead Dragon is revered as the ultimate battle tactic and absolute last resort. It is a skeletal dragon with an exposed tongue running from underneath its skull and through the gap in the lower mandible. It possesses a mysterious red "6" on its skull; its meaning is unknown. It is 80' 0'' in length, consisting of vertebrae and bone. It is immune to all fighting and physical attacks (i.e. swords, guns, weapons, physical contact, etc.). It is resistant to wind and water attacks, and it is weak against fire, frost, lightning and White magic. The Undead Dragon is not very agile, but it has tremendous attack power. One swipe would literally rip apart its enemy, if it managed to connect an attack.
Azriel’s Summoning powers are highly underdeveloped, and is only able to fully control the Serpent and the Wyvern. Azriel currently has issues in controlling the Black Dog, though he manages to force it to obey (barely). Azriel has yet to master the Undead Dragon, as it refuses to listen to his commands. The Undead Dragon has tried to attack Azriel countless times, forcing the man to cast it back to the Netherworld portal. Currently, the Undead Dragon is a useless Summon unless Azriel had no other choice.
